HireVue has been authorised to be used from NATO and non-NATO devices, and data stored is encrypted and secured by HireVue. However, users are required to comply with the following general rules to ensure the security of the system:
1) The system is not authorized for data higher than NATO UNCLASSIFIED.
2) When using the system, either via Taleo or stand-alone, observe NATO relevant policies and the NCIA Directive 2 - Code of Conduct (1 July 2012) with respect to sharing information. In particular observe the limitations imposed by the NR SecOPs.
3) When composing questions, as well as conducting live interviews, make sure that you do not disclose any classified information.
4) Do not upload any documents to the system unless strictly necessary. In that case check that the documents are NATO UNCLASSIFIED and are marked according to NATO marking policies.
5) Recordings are Personal-in-Confidence. Do not share any of the interviews or its content with unauthorised users.
6) Before recording Video, keep in mind that the agency environment is NR. Ensure that the recording room is clean of classified information that could be recorded accidentally (e.g. whiteboards or documents).
7) If a possible leakage of classified information is detected the local NCI Agency security officer shall be contacted immediately.
